Under the framework of the Sino-Brazilian space cooperation program, the CBERS-01 and CBERS-02 satellites were successfully launched on LM-4 launch vehicles on October 14, 1999 and October 21, 2003 respectively.
This was followed by the successful launch of CBERS-02B on an LM-4B launch vehicle on September 19, 2003, a clear demonstration of China's ability to develop earth resources satellites and satellite application products.
On December 9, 2013, the CBERS-03 was launched in Taiyuan Satelite Launch Center,but did not reach the proper orbit.
On December 7, 2014, the CBERS-04 was successfully launched in Taiyuan Satelite Launch.
