CGWIC is a commercial organization authorized by Chinese government to provide commercial launch services, satellite systems and to carry out space technology cooperation. Up to April 2025, CGWIC has completed 101 commercial launches for 74 international satellites and 261 domestic satellites. In addition, CGWIC has conducted 52 rideshare launches, sending 29 international payloads and 127 domestic satellites into orbits.
CGWIC is the first to initiate dedicated rideshare launch in China, and has successfully performed 5 dedicated rideshare launches, i.e. LM-6 in April 2021, LM-8 in February 2022, LM-2D in January 2023, LM-6C in May 2024 and LM-2D in January 2025 respectively, sending 52 satellites into designated orbits.
