At 14:37 on February 12th, 2026, Smart Dragon-3 (SD-3) launch vehicle successfully delivered Pakistan's PRSC-EO2 satellite into its designated orbit, from the offshore waters of Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province. The launch mission was a complete success.

Launch services for the above-mentioned PRSC-EO2 satellite is provided by China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC), a subsidiary of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC). According to a multi-launch services agreement with Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) in 2022, CGWIC delivered a launch solution which combines technical reliability and commercial competitiveness involving a mobile launch platform to conduct the launch mission offshore, which highly recognized from SUPARCO. As the 2nd satellite of SUPARCO’s PRSC-EO satellite constellation, CGWIC also delivered a propulsion system from Beijing Institute of Control Engineering (BICE) under China Academy of Space Technology (CAST), and other platform units were developed by other organizations. Moreover, CGWIC provides PRSC-EO2 satellite with TT&C support for launch and LEOP phase.
PRSC-EO2 satellite, designed and developed by SUPARCO, is a remote sensing satellite equipped with a high-resolution optical payload. The remote sensing data acquired by the satellite will serve various fields in Pakistan, including land mapping, agricultural classification and assessment, urban and rural planning, environmental monitoring, natural disaster monitoring and management, surveying, natural resource protection, and others.
Pakistan is the country with the longest history and the broadest scope of space cooperation with China. The successful implementation of the PRSC-EO2 satellite project is the first time that China has performed a launch services to Pakistan in the way of sea launch. It is a reflection of China-Pakistan friendship and a practice of the China-Pakistan community of destiny. This achievement further consolidates and deepens the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between China and Pakistan.

The SD-3 launch vehicle, developed by China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT) and funded by China Rocket, is a four-stage solid launch vehicle. It is primarily designed for launching spacecraft into Sun-synchronous orbit and low Earth orbit, with a payload capacity of 1500kg to a 500km Sun-synchronous orbit.
CGWIC is a commercial organization authorized by Chinese government to provide commercial launch services, satellite systems and to carry out space technology cooperation. Under the guidance of CASC, CGWIC provides international and domestic customers with rapid, stable, and reliable "one-stop" quality services.
Since Long March launch vehicles successfully entered the international market in 1990s, CGWIC has completed 105 commercial launch missions for 77 international satellites and 279 domestic satellites. In addition, CGWIC has conducted 52 rideshare missions sending 29 international payloads and 127 domestic payloads into orbits.
This launch marks the 9th flight of the Smart Dragon-3, and it is the 10th flight of the Smart Dragon launch vehicle fleet.
