CGWIC is a commercial organization authorized by Chinese government to provide commercial launch services, satellite systems and to carry out space technology cooperation. Up to March 2024, CGWIC has completed 82 commercial launches for 72 international satellites and 130 domestic satellites. In addition, CGWIC has conducted 48 rideshare launches, sending 28 international payloads and 119 domestic satellites into orbits.
CGWIC is the first to initiate dedicated rideshare launch in China, and has successfully conducted 3 dedicated rideshare launches, i.e. LM-6 in April 2021, LM-8 in February 2022 and LM-2D in January 2023 respectively, sending 45 satellites into designated orbits.
