CGWIC Launches Sixteen Satellites for Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co.,Ltd by LM-6 Launch Vehicle | The current page: Home -> News |
At 12:50 August 10, 2022 BJT, Long March-6 (LM-6) Launch Vehicle blasted off from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center (TSLC), successfully sending sixteen satellites, namely Jilin-1GF03D09, Jilin-1GF03D43, DP-01~07, HeNan-01, YunYao-1-04~08 and TianJinBH-1 into the predetermined orbit.
The launch services for the sixteen satellites are prime-contracted by China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC), a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC).
The sixteen satellites are all designed and manufactured by Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co.,Ltd. Ten Jilin-1GF03D satellites, including Jilin-1GF03D09 Satellite, Jilin-1GF03D43 Satellite, DP-01~07 Satellites and HeNan-01 Satellite, will be applied to obtain high-resolution remote sensing information and images. Six YunYao Satellites, including YunYao-1-04~08 Satellites and TianJinBH-1 Satellite, will be applied to provide images of atmosphere.
LM-6 Launch Vehicle is a three-stage liquid launch vehicle developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST), also a subsidiary of CASC. LM-6 Launch Vehicle is designed for sun synchronous orbit missions,and has already successfully performed 9 flights.
CGWIC is a commercial organization authorized by Chinese government to provide commercial launch services, satellite systems and to carry out space technology cooperation. Under the guidance of CASC, CGWIC can provide fast, stable and reliable "one-stop" quality services to both international and domestic customers by introducing the "Long March Express" launch services brand.
Since the Long March series of launch vehicles entered the international market in 1990, CGWIC has completed 73 commercial launch missions for 69 international satellites and 67 domestic customers. In addition, CGWIC has conducted 44 rideshare missions, sending 27 international payloads and 104 domestic payloads into orbits.
This launch marks the 432nd flight of the Long March fleet.
