At 10:53, January 15^th, 2020 BJT, Long March 2D (LM-2D) launch vehicle successfully launched Jilin-1KF01 Satellite as main passenger, and three piggyback satellites from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center (TSLC). The piggyback payloads are NewSat-7 and NewSat-8 Satellites, which are designed and manufactured by Satellogic based in Argentina, and TIANQI-2-03 Satellite of Beijing Guodian Gaoke Tech. Ltd. China Great Wall Industry Corporation, subordinated to China Aerospace Science & Technology Corporation (CASC), has provided the launch services for all the satellites aboard LM-2D launch vehicle today.

Jilin-1KF01 Satellite is a remote sensing satellite designed and manufactured by Charming Global Satellite Tech. Ltd. The payload of Jilin-1KF01 Satellite is a large-caliber off-axis tri-reflector optical camera, which is used to obtain panchromatic and multispectral images of earth observation with large width and high resolution.

NewSat-7&8 are low earth orbit remote sensing satellites that will be added to the constellation that Satellogic is currently building, the first scalable earth observation platform with the ability to remap the entire planet at both high-frequency and high-resolution. So far, CGWIC has provided piggyback launch services by sending 7 NewSats of Satellogic’s constellation into orbit in the past four years.

TIANQI-2-03 Satellite is a satellite of Beijing Guodian Gaoke Tech. Ltd. for Internet of Things.

The LM-2D Launch Vehicle is developed by SAST. This launch mission is the 45th flight of Long March–2D, the 325th flight of Long March Family as well as its 20th piggyback launch for the  international customers.
