China Pavilion Presented Again In Interzoo, The Most Famous Global Pet Supplies Exhibition | The current page: Home -> News |
Interzoo, the most influential pet supplies exhibition in the world, was held successfully during May 26th to 29th, 2016 in Exhibition Centre Nuremberg, Germany. China Great Wall International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (GIE), a subsidiary company of China Great Wall Industry Corporation (subordinate to China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation), successfully organized over 340 Chinese companies to join in the exhibition, making China the largest overseas national pavilion only next to Germany.
Interzoo, the biggest and leading int’l pet and aquarium supplies trade exhibition, initiated in 1973, is held every 2 years. This year the exhibition covers an area of 115,000 square meters, attracting over 1,800 companies worldwide to exhibit.
According to Mrs. Cheng Yang, General Manager of GIE, who is in charge of organizing China pavilion, China’s pet industry started from the 1990s and pet product market has developed rapidly in recent years with the output value increasing at 30% per year. The annual value of production in 2015 reached 50 billion RMB.
Mrs. Cheng Yang also introduced that the dynamic growth of China’s pet enterprises confronted unfair treatment in the international market competition. For example, some countries made unreasonable requirements for quality inspection and censured the quality of pet food produced by Chinese companies as not up to standard although they had no concrete evidence.
She suggested that Chinese companies continue to strengthen the consciousness of intellectual property rights, fighting for safeguarding their own legal rights without committing infringement. Meanwhile, Chinese companies should enhance innovation ability and realize the transition from Made in China to Created in China.
Mr. Chen Zhenbiao, Chairman of the exhibitor PETPAL PET NUTRITION TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD., thought that China has become the global manufacturing center for pet food and products and many Chinese companies are undergoing industrial upgrading from preliminary processing to independent research and development.
It’s known that in the past 25 years, China’s pet industry has achieved certain progress but also faces some problems like professional skills of employees to be improved. Some Chinese exhibitors say that they need to be aware of the sales regulations in destination countries and meanwhile never stop learning from the developed market. Some also propose that considering the excess capacity of China’s pet industry, related departments should strengthen quality supervision in order to promote the sound development of the pet industry.
