On 19th April, the grinding ceremony of the Preah Vihear First-stage Biomass Power Generation Project designed and invested by Chinese enterprise was held in Preah Vihear, Cambodia, which marked the Project of Cambodia Biomass Power Generation to which China Great Wall Environment Improving Co.,Ltd. (CGWEI) offered energy-saving services has been officially put into operation. Government representatives including Mr Samdech Hun Sen, who is the Prime Minister of Cambodia, China's ambassador to Cambodia and Vice President of China Great Wall Industry Corporation attended the ceremony together.
China Great Wall Environment Improving Co.,Ltd. (CGWEI) signed the Contract of the Sugar Mill Biomass Power Generation Project with investment developer -- Guangdong Hanford Group in September,2015. According to this contract, both sides would cooperate to build a power station in the sugar mill, which utilizes bagasse waste to generate steam and electricity that are necessary for the sugar mill and affiliated living facilities, realizing the waste treatment and recycling of resources. This project will make use of 480000 tons of bagasse to generate 130 million Kwh of electricity per year in prediction.
Cambodia Biomass Power Generation Project takes advantage of local natural conditions, integrates closely with demand of economic development, recycles resources to accelerate the sustainable development of the local economy. The promotion of this project will lead the export of domestic equipment manufacturing and advanced technology, propel the international collaboration within the scope of capacity, becoming a solid step of Chinese enterprises and financial institutions’ common practice of The Belt and Road Initiative Strategy.
